TEDOPRES awards S1000D contract related to Dutch MoD

Tedopres selected Corena to deliver the S1000D content management system to support a combined solution for Dutch MoD managing maintenance and availability of army material such as vehicles and weapon systems.

The solution is based upon Tedopres’ award winning “System for Asset Maintenance Management” (SAMM) and CORENA’s well-known CORENA S1000D CSDB solution, already used by a multitude of large OEMs and defense logistic organizations.

Tedopres’ SAMM optimizes the use of assets that have a long life cycle, and that require accurate maintenance, such as aircraft, trains, military vehicles and machinery. The goal of SAMM is to maximize and extend the life cycle of products by making sure the product is operational as much as possible by reducing the time for maintenance to a minimum. For example SAMM enables a mechanic to easily perform complex maintenance procedures at any location, including deserts in Afghanistan or similar environments. During these procedures, the mechanic is supported by innovative technologies for speech, 3D and augmented reality.

The CORENA S1000D solution provides the Common Source Database and tools needed to create, manage, interchange and deliver information based on the processes and data format prescribed by the S1000D specification. A fully integrated solution, CORENA S1000D supports the entire technical documentation lifecycle and provides the versatility needed to integrate technical information with customer’s product data and business processes.

The combination of Tedopres’ SAMM and CORENA S1000D represents an innovative maintenance management solution based on a well-proven and comprehensive platform offering all the functionality needed for an integrated information process compliant with the S1000D standard.
